Traditional Chinese acupuncture uses the theories of meridians and energy flows. By using acupuncture on specific points on the body, these energy flows are regulated to enable the body to restore equilibrium and a state of well being. A traditional Chinese approach can be used to help alleviate pain and muscle spasm as well as help respiratory, gynaecological, skin, digestive, allergy, neurological and anxiety disorders.
Whether a traditional Chinese approach or a Western approach is used, acupuncture helps the body to regulate itself and help alleviate the condition. In both treatment forms, pre-sterilised disposable needles are used in all treatments.
Current blood donors may receive acupuncture and a certificate issued which can be given next time you give blood.
Practitioners are members of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and Associate Members of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS).
